COLLEGE STATION (AP) — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has launched a water education network as a one-stop online source on quality, conservation and management.

Associate director Pete Gibbs on Tuesday announced the site. Gibbs says agency officials felt it was crucial to develop easy access to water materials.

Texas is still recovering from a 2011 drought. Last week’s U.S. Drought Monitor report found more than 98 percent of the state still in some level of abnormal dryness as spring arrived.

AgriLife officials say the information ranges from assistance for homes and city landscapes to data for agricultural and wildlife management.
